Founded:
In 1663 by eight nobles with a Royal Charter from Charles II.
Economy:
Plantation/Agriculture - Indigo, Rice, Tobacco, Cotton, Cattle
Geography:Has many rivers (Edisto River, Pee Dee River, Santee River, Savannah River) and lakes (Lake Greenwood, Lake Marion, Lake Moultrie). Also has areas of mountains, hills, sand hills, swamp, flat land, as well as fertile soil.
Government:
They had a popular government (democracy). Made laws based on liberty.
Celebrity/Important Residents:
John Ribault, Sir William Sayle, Coligny, Governor Sir John Yeamans, and Joseph West were important people.
Religion:
Had many different religions, of those Anglicans and Baptists were prominent. Quakers also came because the northern colonies hadn't been treating very well. The man who created the Quakers was called George Fox.

Had to be tolerant of Baptist and Angelican religion
